The Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is funded by the State of Michigan to provide free preschool for eligible four-year-old children. The GSRP was designed to provide a high-quality experience for children. Research on preschool programs indicates children provided with a high-quality preschool experience are better prepared for school, compared to children from the same backgrounds who did not attend such programs.
